We're making some exciting changes for 2024, and as a subscriber you are the first to know:
Inn-to-inn hiking tours will now follow 4, 6 and 8-night fixed itineraries. We have decided on this approach after extensive testing and feedback from our guests over the past few years. Currently, inn-to-inn tours are only available during three limited periods throughout the summer and fall; however, we may expand our tour dates based on demand. Our primary inn partners in 2024 will be Green Mountain Inn (Stowe), Old Stagecoach Inn (Waterbury), Yellow Farmhouse Inn (Waitsfield) and Chalet Mont Vert (Warren).
Country Mile Vermont will feature a renewed focus on sustainability in 2024. The great outdoors is our office, classroom and our home, so we're doing what we can to make sure it's in good shape for our grandchildren. We now offer free round-trip transportation from the Waterbury-Stowe Amtrak station for guests who choose to arrive by train, and we have switched to fixed inn-to-inn itineraries to help minimize our carbon footprint.
New classes and workshops coming soon. Along with our inn-to-inn tours and guided hikes, we will offer Leave No Trace workshops and a variety of outdoor education classes throughout the year (dates TBA). Groups are welcome!
